Vacancy: RF Engineer – up to £50k depending upon experience

The Role 

We are seeking a motivated RF Engineer to fit into our highly driven, innovative team. 
The successful candidate will be expected to generate innovation in thinking, concepts and solutions across a wide spectrum of client requirements, particularly in the radio frequency, microwave and millimetre wave domain. This work will often be pushing the boundaries of science and exploring techniques which will include the research and development of leading-edge technologies to deliver unique capabilities. 
Key to the success of our, generally short, programmes is a clear and thorough understanding of the client’s need. To this end, it is essential that the Hardware Engineer can communicate effectively with clients, being able to propose unique solutions to their requirements in a constructive manner and to explain the effectiveness of any approach both verbally and in technical reports. 

The Person 

The RF Engineer will have spent at least 2 years in post-Graduate employment and will have been acknowledged as a potential technical leader. 
Particular experience that would be useful includes: 
• Sensor design at RF, Microwave and Millimetre wave frequencies 
• Software Defined Radio applications including radio frequency design and implementation 
• Preparation of formal Requirement and Design Documents 
• Production of prototype and pre-production models of equipment 
• Planning and executing trials to demonstrate the effectiveness of equipment. 
• Modern equipment techniques and controlled tear-down 
• Development of Artificial Intelligence techniques to extract information from RF sensors 
• Modern and emerging communication technologies
