The Role 
We are seeking highly experienced Engineering Research Leader to join the Company in continuing to drive the success and growth of the business. 
 
Working in the environment described above, this Technical Leader will be expected to work with the Founders and other senior technical specialists to generate innovation in thinking, concepts and solutions to the wide spectrum of Client requirements. 
This work is at the boundary of science and engineering, introducing new approaches to understanding a wide variety of phenomenon and deploying leading edge technologies to the development of new sensors to exploit these phenomena to meet Client requirements. 
This Technical Leader will be a practicing Systems Engineer, fully integrated with the overall team to ensure control and to optimise the growth of the family of solutions that comprise the Company’s collateral. 
Key to the success of our programmes is a clear and thorough understanding of the Client’s need. To this end, it is essential that the Leader can communicate effectively with Clients, being able to probe their requirements in a constructive manner to establish a common view and to optimise and explain the effectiveness of any solutions both verbally and in formal proposals. 
 
 
The Person 
The Leader will probably have spent at least 25 years in engineering and highly technical delivery roles with a recognised segment leader and will have been recognised as a technical leader.

• An appreciation and understanding of complex systems such as sensing and communications
